Hermès p.s i silk you.ask.believe.receive.give.
when you ask.believe.receive. it is important to give. And Hermès knows just how to do that…in style.
The P.S. I Silk You postcard is both a celebration of individual style, as well as a way to remind your friends of how much they mean to you. The photograph on the front of the postcard captures your own unique look in Hermès silk, while the back has sentences left open for you to compose a personal note of friendship, love and encouragement to your family and friends.
To start the ball rolling, 137 personalities (special thanks to Hermès and catalog magazine for having me on board for this charity event) , 21 magazines, 7 photographers and stylists got together with Hermès for the first ever P.S. I Silk You exhibition, on show from now till 15 November at the P.S. I Silk You studio along Orchard Road. The exhibition features photographic postcards of over 130 personalities such as Ashley Isham, Dick Lee, Jade Seah, JJ Lin, Kumar, Nadya Hutagalung, Wong Li Lin, as well as a personal message that each personality has penned to a loved one. The postcards are available for sale via a silent auction, with all proceeds going to Beautiful People.
Visitors are also invited to play and experiment with different ways of wearing Hermès silk at the studio. Pick up some scarf tying tips from the team of stylists and have your photo taken either in the indoor studio or out on the open air upper deck, with Orchard Road as a backdrop. Photographs will be transformed into P.S. I Silk You postcards on the spot, at $50 for a set of 10. Once again, proceeds go to Beautiful People.

superhero halloween
Just as I was writing about giving tight skinny jeans a break, a friend message me on facebook asking for help!
She is planning her wardrobe for a superhero themed Halloween party tomorrow!
Quite immediately, the movie Watchmen came to mind…..

HOT!
give the skinny a break
I love my skinny jeans and I intend to keep them for a long time.

hermes p.s i silk you
The CATALOG team joins a slew of local personalities to support Hermès’ charity postcard project called P.S. I Silk You.
This project aims to raise awareness of the Beautiful People volunteer programme (www.beautifulpeople.org.sg), which connects professional and skilled persons to teenage girls from various welfare organisations in Singapore, giving the girls positive work exposure, life skills and even friendship.
Captured on postcards, the team showcases various ways to style with beautiful Hermès silk. You can view the postcard exhibition along Orchard Road (in front of Wisma Atria and Ngee Ann City) from 30th October to 15th November 2009, 11am to 8pm daily.
And more importantly, you can create your very own personalised postcards while discovering creative ways to wear Hermès silk. Proceeds go to Beautiful People, so feel good and look fabulous!

I think it’s the people behind fashion, their passion and dedication.
